ABOUT THE COLLEGE OF EMERGENCY PHYSICIANS (CEP)
The College of Emergency Physicians (CEP), Singapore, founded in 2007 under the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, is the professional body representing emergency medicine specialists and is dedicated to advancing clinical standards, education, research, and professional development in emergency care. Within the College, the Section of EMS Physicians (SEMSP), established in 2023, focuses on prehospital and emergency medical services (EMS), aiming to formalise accreditation of EMS physicians, support leadership roles such as medical directors, and strengthen system integration through advocacy, advisory work, and collaboration with national agencies. Together, they promote excellence across the continuum of emergency care—from prehospital response to the emergency department—while supporting innovation, training, and regional engagement.
