Foundational Psychological First Aid: Responding early, humanely and safely at work

Join the Well-being Champions Network at The Health & Safety Event Asia 2026

Fully subsidised for eligible companies

📅 Date: 10 November 2026
🕗 Timing: 9am - 1pm
📍 Venue: Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Singapore

Distress at work is usually noticed first by a colleague, not a professional. Without a shared and safe way to respond, people either stay silent or overstep. This half-day course gives your people the knowledge, skills and confidence to notice when a colleague is struggling, start a supportive conversation and connect them to the right help.

Foundational Psychological First Aid is the core course of the Well-being First Responder (WFR) programme, developed by Kaleidoscope Labs and delivered through the Well-being Champions Network. It is grounded in the World Health Organization’s Look, Listen, Link framework, and aligned with ISO 45003 and Singapore’s National Mental Health Competency Training Framework. The course is practical and non-clinical, so it does not involve diagnosis, counselling or therapy.

Fully subsidised places for eligible companies. The course is usually S$300 per participant. At HSEA it is free of charge for eligible companies, with up to two employees per organisation. Places are limited and registration is required.

Why it matters

Psychosocial risk is now part of occupational safety and health. Peer support is a central recommendation of the Tripartite Advisory on Mental Well-being at Workplaces, and ISO 45003 asks organisations to manage psychosocial risk as they would any other hazard.

For your organisation, the course builds a shared language and method for responding to distress. It helps you spot problems earlier, before they lead to absence or crisis, and lays the foundation for a formal peer support network. Every participant also joins the WFR Community of Practice for continued learning and peer exchange after the course.
