Alan has been directly involved in the fire industry for more than 40 years with extensive experience in system design, Product Management, Product Development, R&D, Business Development, Sales and is a JCI (legacy Tyco) Fellow, following previous roles of EMEA Sales Director, Global Director – Product Management, in which he managed the global portfolio of Engineered Systems for JCI Fire Protection Products.

Alan is the Chairman of ISO/TC21/SC8, Chairman of various technical committees including British Standards extinguishing systems technical committee (FSH18/6) and acting Chairman of FSH18/5 (Water Mist). Chaired Working Group Gases for more than 25 years and is currently the Chairman of the Euralarm Extinguishing Section. A member of various CEN European Technical Committees including TC191/WG6 and its Task Groups. He is an NFPA Member and sits on the LPCB's Industry Technical Liaison group.
