Dr. Azlan is a Public Health Specialist and Occupational Health Physician, currently serving as the Head of the Prevention, Medical and Rehabilitation Division at the Social Security Organization of Malaysia (PERKESO). In this role, he leads nationwide occupational safety and health programs impacting over 9 million SOCSO contributors and oversees medical and rehabilitation initiatives for both employers and employees under the organization.

Dr. Azlan has contributed significantly to academia and professional bodies. He is a Member of the CEO@Faculty Programme (CFP), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and was appointed an Elite@UM Fellow at Universiti Malaya. He also served on the Academic Programme Committee (JKPP) for the Master of Occupational Safety and Health at University Putra Malaysia (UPM). Fellow at School of Business Management, University Utara Malaysia.

He has authored articles in both local and international journals and is a reviewer for scientific publications. His leadership roles include Vice-Chairperson of the Technical Commission on Insurance against Occupational Injury and Occupational Diseases under the International Social Security Association (ISSA), Vice President ISSA Section 
on Prevention in Transportation, Examination Board Member of the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), and Council Member of the Academy of Occupational and Environmental Medicine Malaysia (AOEMM).

Dr. Azlan continues to contribute actively through participation in local and international conferences and seminars
