Dr. Khadizah H. Abdul-Mumin
Dr. Khadizah H. Abdul-Mumin is a Health Sciences academic and Senior Assistant Professor at Universiti Brunei Darussalam, with a multidisciplinary teaching portfolio spanning nursing, midwifery, public health, and medicine. She received the Universiti Brunei Darussalam Teaching Excellence Award in Health Sciences in 2019 and the Research Excellence Award for Senior Researcher in Sciences in 2023. Her research adopts an integrative health sciences approach, focusing on self-care, mental health, and environmental and occupational health. Her work examines workplace stressors, including workload, organizational culture, and emotional demands, and their impact on the mental wellbeing, safety, and performance of healthcare professionals. She advances evidence on burnout, work-related stress, and psychologically safe work environments, promoting policy-informed strategies to strengthen workforce resilience, improve healthcare outcomes, and support sustainable systems aligned with global worker wellbeing priorities.
