Dr. Shawn Tan is a Research Fellow at the Heat Resilience & Performance Centre and Human Potential Translational Research Programme, National University of Singapore. His research investigates the effects of heat on occupational safety and performance, with recent work extending to the impact of indoor thermal environments on sleep. His current research aims to develop scalable strategies to improve the indoor environment in non-airconditioned, multi-occupancy dormitories, with the goal of improving sleep quality and recovery among workers.
