JC Sekar
JC Sekar is the Co-founder and CEO of AcuiZen Technologies, a Singapore-based company dedicated to advancing operational excellence and enabling sustainable digital transformation. AcuiZen addresses the evolving challenges of today’s dynamic workplaces by rapidly digitalizing operational workflows, disseminating contextual information, and capturing evidence-backed data. Through its configurable digital platform, AcuiZen empowers both enterprises and frontline workers with real-time insights and integrated tools that support risk management, safety, learning, and sustainability. This people-centric approach not only streamlines day-to-day operations but also fosters continual improvement, greater transparency, and a culture of ongoing upskilling—helping organizations build agile, resilient, and high-performing teams in an ever-changing world.
He is also the Co-founder of EiSqr Solutions, which provides advisory services and digital tools to advance inclusiveness and integrity in an organization’s Sustainability and ESG journeys. EiSqr bridges advisory services with technological interventions to support sustainable practices.
JC holds an MBA from the National University of Singapore and a Master’s in Technology (Aerospace) from IIT Madras, India. With over 38 years of global experience, JC has led teams across diverse sectors and functional areas, including Design, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, HSE, Learning & Development, Business Development, and Operational Excellence.
Before his entrepreneurial journey in 2015, JC spent nearly two decades with Underwriters Laboratories Inc (UL), a 125+ year-old U.S.-based Safety Science Organization. His last role was Managing Director (Asia Pacific and Middle East) for its Health & Safety practice.
JC has advised global stakeholders on quality, health, safety, environmental practices, risk mitigation strategies, competency development, and operational excellence initiatives. He is recognized for conceptualizing and launching innovative service offerings throughout his career.
An active thought leader, JC has spoken and moderated at various global events. Notably, in 2019, he was invited by UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization) in Vienna to present a paper on Industrial Safety in the context of Industry 4.0. He also contributed to a UNIDO handbook on Industrial Safety, where he conceptualized and introduced the 3C-3P model for building resilient industrial safety systems. He is a founding member of the Global Initiative for Future Industrial Safety, set up by UNIDO, GMIS, and Lloyd’s Register Foundation.
JC also serves as an Executive Committee member of IOSH, Singapore Branch.
