Peter Morgan
Peter Morgan is a retired Assistant Commissioner from the Hong Kong Police. During his 33 years of service, Peter worked in a variety of senior leadership, operational, management and training roles. He was awarded the Hong Kong Police Distinguished Service Medal (P.D.S.M.) in 2015. Most recently, Peter was the Head of Corporate Security at the Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing Ltd, where he was responsible for ensuring a comprehensive and consistent delivery of physical security related services and measures to protect HKEX Hong Kong facilities, assets, staff and visitors.
Peter was also a hostage negotiator for over 24 years and Commander of the Hong Kong Police Hostage & Crisis Negotiation Unit (HCNU) for 12 years. He is currently a Special Advisor to the HCNU and an Honorary Advisor to the Hong Kong Police College. He is the author of “Critical Issues in Crisis Negotiations”, available on Amazon.com.
In his free time, Peter enjoys filmmaking and hiking. He has led and filmed a number of trekking and climbing expeditions to Kilimanjaro, Mt. Kenya, Aconcagua, Torres del Paine and Mr. McKinley (Denali). His book “Climbing Denali Journal and Logbook” is also available on Amazon.com.
