Shahrizal Bin Mohamed Kamal

Advisor, Malaysian Association for Arts, Live Events, Concerts and Festivals (ALIFE)

Rizal Kamal is a Southeast Asian entertainment entrepreneur working at the intersection of live experiences, technology, and cultural impact. As Founder & CEO of LOL Asia, he has built one of the region’s most established live‑entertainment companies, delivering hundreds of successful comedy shows, concerts, tours, television formats, and original IPs across Malaysia, Singapore, and key cities in Asia and Australasia. His work spans internationally recognised comedians such as Kevin Hart, Jimmy Carr, Jimmy O. Yang, and Southeast Asia’s comedy icon Kumar, alongside music icons including rock queen Ella, rock legends Search, and emerging regional stars such as NMIXX and Aisha Retno.

Over nearly 17 years, Rizal has led productions ranging from club‑sized showcases to arena‑scale events, consistently combining strong commercial outcomes with elevated
production standards. Beyond producing shows, his focus is on system‑building—developing proprietary marketing, touring, and audience‑growth frameworks that improve ticket conversion, scalability, and long‑term profitability.

Originally from the technology sector, Rizal brings a tech‑first mindset to entertainment. He is actively integrating AI, data, and emerging creative tools into artist development, marketing, and content creation, while building new entertainment IPs that blend live performance, community, and technology‑driven experiences.

Beyond LOL Asia, Rizal plays an active role in shaping the industry. He is a co-founder and advisor of ALIFE (Association of Live & Integrated Performing Arts & Entertainment) and serves as a council member of the Federation of Malaysian Business Associations (FMBA). In these roles, he contributes to policy dialogue, industry sustainability, and ecosystem development at a national level, including during the COVID-19 pandemic, contributing to industry coordination and recovery efforts.
