Mr. Silas Sng is the current Commissioner for Workplace Safety and Health since 2019.

As Commissioner, he is entrusted with the responsibility to achieve and sustain our WSH improvements in Singapore guided by the WSH2028 strategies.

Silas started his career in 1997 with the Ministry of Manpower inspecting factories and equipment as well as investigating into fatal and serious accidents. Silas was instrumental in the development of the Workplace Safety and Health Act 2006, the Work Injury Compensation Act 2019 as well as many other WSH policies.
