A high-quality speaker optimised for speech frequencies delivers crisp, intelligible audio, while the conveniently positioned push-to-talk (PTT) button on the earpiece provides instant communication when required.

Designed for harsh operating conditions, the headset is waterproof to IP67/IPX7 standards, providing protection against seawater exposure and temporary immersion in up to one metre of water for 30 minutes. It has also undergone extensive environmental testing, including high and low temperature exposure, humidity, vibration, impact, and temperature cycling, ensuring reliable performance in challenging marine conditions.

The Gecko Headset is compatible with handheld VHF and UHF radios and can also connect to full-duplex or wired VHF radio systems.
