The Heyrothsberge Institute for Fire and Disaster Protection in Germany, as a research and training institution, has state-of-the-art large-scale testing facilities, including a specialized fire house for real-scale fire tests. Since such live-fire tests generate significant quantities of pollutants, these facilities are connected to a sophisticated, environmentally friendly flue gas cleaning system to minimize emissions and strictly comply with legal environmental regulation.
