In this state-of-the-art research and development center, Hilti conducts fire tests and laboratory trials for structural fire protection systems. In the fire protection test halls and laboratories, new generations of fire protection products (such as cable, pipes and penetration seals) are developed and subjected to extreme fire tests. In addition to development, the Kaufering site serves as a central training campus. In practical fire protection training courses and seminars, planners, installers, and site managers learn about the proper installation and legal requirements for firestop systems. The fire tests conducted on-site form the basis for the legally required, manufacturer-specific approvals and conformity assessments for construction sites.
