Gjallar is the human trigger of the ASGARD distributed detection architecture. A person sees, decides, activates. The alert propagates across the mesh and delivers the station's precise location to responders and to the coordination centre.

No wiring. No drilling. The unit mounts on a wall or a pole. Power is autonomous: external mains input with presence detection, or internal battery, five-year life. Always armed.

Activation is a knurled red handle held magnetically, reinserted directly. A key is required to rearm. Two opposed magnets and a low-sensitivity reed switch reject external magnetic fields.

Alerting is local as well as networked: sounders at 85 dBA, a 15 cd strobe, and a night light.

Onboard light, temperature and humidity sensors and a tamper switch feed the same supervised mesh, where faults and lost links are monitored rather than assumed. Encrypted proprietary mesh, 1 km class in line of sight. Configuration through the Incendia portal.

Weatherproof enclosure, indoor or outdoor. Auxiliary system: Gjallar supplements a code-compliant fire alarm system, it does not replace it.
